Excellent battery box for DIY cells, great support

I bought two JK-BMS v4 16S battery boxes with display to house and protect my 32 older 280AH EVE cells. The box is compatible with both new and older cells, with two screw holes (new cells) or single bolts (old).

Support is excellent. Don't forget to specify you need the v4 parallel connection kit (flexible flat cables) and if you need the older cell busbars (single hole). Older cells may also be bigger, in this case just use less of the padded spacers, then they still fit with good compression and are still protected by the epoxy sheets. In this case slide the last cell in from the front with the compression plate removed.

The JK inverter BMS is excellent and with 2A active balance was able to immediately correct the in-balance of my 2 years old storage charged cells, and continues to maintain them, giving peace of mind until I am ready to use them. It is also possible to upgrade the box with heating pads if you didn't order them originally.

The end result looks the same as an expensive branded battery box. This makes it much easier to certify or get electrician acceptance of the equipment, for your home storage solutions. It's not a good idea to have a "Frankenstein" DIY battery box out of wood and other DIY material around the house. This is a safe and professional choice and gives peace of mind in case you are delayed bringing the cells into use as I was!

Great DIY battery box, but improvements possible

Great build overall, but this on for improvement: 1) extra1-2cm space in front would help 2) 2 attachment poles per side instead of one -for parallel connection-

PS look at both online shops (non-/shopify) for best conditions and options!

Great housing, great BMS

Great case, no flaws, great paint job, great instructions and easy to handle. The only negative point why I only gave it 4 stars was that 5 screws were missing. But I would order it again immediately.
